Tandem Community Birth Center & Postpartum House Our mission is to improve perinatal outcomes by trusting patients, increasing options for care, and challenging the status quo. Our vision is a community where child-bearing families of all kinds have choices in the care they receive and find support and connection during these transformative years.

Tandem’s goal is to be Bloomington’s first community birth center and postpartum house. We believe that people giving birth come with different backgrounds and experiences, and have different needs–they deserve diverse and safe choices tailored to them.

Since our foundation 50 years ago, we’ve worked to build more than just apartments; we build relationships.
