You are completely right about your complaints. Revit's performance is abnsolutely pathetic. I don't know how many times I had my RAM, CPU, GPU all sitting at comfortable low utilizations while Revit is "crunching" something. It's not even ineffective utilization, it flat-out does not use the resources.
