Jul 31, 2020 · Answer. I sent an email with the Subject Thread to two different addresses. Both addresses replied. Looking at the Inbox shows the thread with the Subject Thread has 3 emails. Clicking on the thread will show the sent email and the two replies. So the Subject is what groups the emails.
