Nov 16, 2017 · The icon is meant to show that the particular add-in is currently running. User can stop any particular add-in from Script dialog by clicking on 'Stop' button. Add-in documentation should help to find out how to use that particular add-in. Hope it helps.

There was a problem with the Fusion API and its exposure of the UI of some of the workspaces. This was fixed a few months ago but any add-ins that want their commands to be visible in the other workspaces need to do additional work to add their commands.
