After importing the svg, on the menu window that opens before finish the sketch, change the scale from 1.0 to 1.33333. This will give you the exact size you had the file from your vector software. Yeah, I understand that I can do that, I'm just wondering why a 12" SVG is showing up as much less than 12". They're vector graphics.

The exported SVG looks fine coming out of illustrator but Fusion does it's own thing or chokes and a lot of the shapes are broken or distorted. There is a plugin for Fusion that detects and fixes broken shapes but I still have to go and correct some distorted geometry. The plugin is actually a script called "ConnectTheDots".

12.9.2016 · Upon import to Fusion 360, the 40 pixel circle was just over 10mm (appropriate if I were to scale by 2.83, I expect). Once again, scaling by 2.83 didn't work, as it applied the scale operation twice. I set the units to points and set the circle size in mm, and then tried it. This gave the same results as the original file in mm.
