I use aida64 or just open the case and read the labels to see the name of the hardware. Then I look for the support / drivers section on the manufacturer's website. The driver updater scam developed during the XP days, when a lot of illiterate people had computers, there were even "paid drivers" back then.

When running into problems, always go directly to the manufacturers hp and get drivers there. Same for new installed machines. Driver update software is obsolet IMO and can contain malware or scareware.

Except when the manufacturer's website doesn't have the drivers you are looking for. Or when the Manufacturer goes bankrupt and they no longer have a website.
